This early sunrise session at The Lincoln Memorial was everything I've ever envisioned about shooting on the national mall featuring the early morning glow. When Morgan reached out to me in February about anniversary photos, we had initially planned for a cherry blossom session...but #covid- so we rescheduled about 5 times, but it was totally worth it because in the meantime they had adopted Hippo- this cute hyper retired sled dog from Alaska! Imagine his culture shock after moving across the country from the snowy state to running along the national mall and the grand Lincoln memorial! Bringing a dog to portrait sessions seriously makes things so much more fun- I should make this a requirement moving forward, ha! Another favorite hidden gem is the War Memorial located along the path near the Reflecting Pool. The lush green trees, the beautiful marble dome and pillars makes the perfect DC backdrop without many tourists- especially with the early morning glow, it makes the photos look straight out of a lifestyle magazine- overall, I am obsessed with this session and these two.
