It was so great finally getting to meet you and chat last night! I am soo excited about your wedding and that we both share a love for a chic, classic, D.C. look at DAR! p This proposal includes information about me as your photographer, collection details & other FAQ we may not have touched on during our consult call. At the bottom of the proposal, I included links to a full engagement session at the cathedral, and a full wedding at Strathmore Mansion (a venue that has a similar look & vibe to DAR). Enjoy!

Meet your photographer, Adela

My photography journey started when my college roommate asked me photograph her wedding in 2018- at that point, I had 0 knowledge of anything related to professional photography, or what it takes to capture an entire wedding day! To give you some context... I studied Public Relations and Business Administration in I did know a thing or two about what looks good & how to market it. I was always a bit more picky than the average person when taking photos, and maintaining a perfect Instagram aesthetic before it was cool to do so, ha! I said 'yes!' to her wedding and before I knew it, I had booked 10+ weddings in one year!

My principles & priorities as your wedding photographer are-

  • Educate you as my clients on the importance of lighting as it relates to photography & the decisions I make when posing and choosing locations
  • Join alongside you, your families, and friends on one of the most important days of your lives!!!

Second Photographer

This is MY process:

I. Book your date

The booking process is simple! Once you've decided to go ahead and book with me, I will send over an online contract - one or two people can be included on it. The deposit is due when contract is signed, and the rest one month ahead of the wedding day! Payment plans are an option, and we can work together to create one that works best for you. Payments can be made online or with a check- check is preferred!

II. Schedule engagement session

Once we've gotten the paperwork out of the way, we can focus on your engagement session! I know we've already scheduled tours, and as mentioned, I am happy to credit the amount towards your wedding photo coverage, since I offer it as complimentary to all my wedding clients. Your engagement session can last anywhere between 1-2 hours- since there's lots of spots at the cathedral I am probably anticipating it will be closer to 2 hours. Ahead of the engagement session, I will send over a Portrait Questionnaire that asks a few questions about you two as a couple, your favorite features, and your must have photos!

III. The Wedding Day

A month out from the wedding, I will send over a questionnaire that goes over info. about your day such as, colors, themes, finalized timeline, list of family portraits, other wedding vendor contact information & any final details you need to relay to me!

At this point, I will also send over the portfolio/social media accounts of my second shooter that will be accompanying me for your wedding. On your wedding day, I will be there ready to create and tell your love story through photos! I will be using the timeline we agreed on to coordinate the wedding day, as well as work with the venue coordinator to ensure a smooth transition to different parts of the day.

You will receive 10-15 high resolution highlight images from the wedding within 2 days, and the full gallery within 4-6 weeks. All images will be edited and delivered in an online format through Pixieset- from there you can download, favorite, and share your photos with family & friends! You will also be able to order prints directly through the online gallery & select from various options of finishes, sizes and framing- all in one stop! Through it all, I will be here to walk alongside you, answer questions & provide input whenever needed!

Proposed Timeline

1pm- Adela arrives & begins detail photos (invitations, dress, florals) + finishing touches (getting ready candids + makeup/hair finishing touches)

2pm- Lisette puts dress on & begins bridal portraits // Alex is dressed & ready for individual portraits + getting ready photos

2:45pm- Travel to DAR from hotel

4:00pm- First look and B&G initial portraits on DAR rooftop

4:20pm- Bridal party // close family photos

4:30pm- B&G hide away, prepare for ceremony

5:00pm- Ceremony

5:30pm- Cocktail hour begins & extended family portraits

6pm- B&G join cocktail hour

6:35pm- Reception events begin

7:15-30pm- sunset photos // exact time depending on sunset that day

8pm- Photo coverage ends


When will we get our photos?

Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within maximum 6 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

How many pictures will we receive?

For a 8 hours coverage wedding, you will receive between 800-1,200 images.

Do you have business insurance?

Yes I do! If your venue requires it, I am happy to provide them with the proper documentation.

If you're ready to move forward simply respond to the follow up email I sent you- I will immediately open your email, probably super excited !!! I will follow up within 1-2 business days with the online contract and the steps to schedule your engagement session! :)
